Meet Dr. Diego Herrera
Dr. Herrera Loves Practicing Dentistry in Bedford Hills
For Dr. Herrera, dentistry is more than a career. He is passionate about bringing the most advanced dental implant techniques to his patients so they can receive world-class care without leaving Bedford Hills.
As the son of a dentist, Dr. Herrera grew up seeing the impact a dedicated provider can have. With a DDS from the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and residency training at North Shore-LIJ, his strong educational foundation laid the groundwork for a successful career as a practice owner. Since his early training, he has relentlessly pursued mastery of dental implantology. He is currently an instructor for F.I.T. (Foundational Implant Training) and a Key Opinion Leader for MegaGen.
Life Outside the Office
Dr. Herrera balances his passion for dentistry with a full life outside the office. He and his wife, Dr. Katz, are overjoyed by their two-year-old son and share four rescue dogs and three chickens, along with a love of the outdoors.
Favorite activities include skiing, hiking, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching TV and movies. He always enjoys hearing what patients are watching—feel free to share your recommendations at your next visit!
Family remains his top priority, and the care he gives his patients reflects the same dedication he brings home.

Dr. Herrera is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the 9th District Dental Association. He continually pursues advanced training, including the 3D Dentists Digital Implant Continuum, Advanced Sinus and Grafting, Smile Systems 3-on-6, Advanced PRF Education, Zero Bone Loss Concepts, and Prosthetic Considerations in Implantology. He now teaches the Foundational Implant Training (F.I.T.) Advanced Course and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for MegaGen.
Driven by his love for dentistry and commitment to comprehensive patient care, he continues to expand his own training while also educating others in their practices.
